Dr Don Wenura Dissanayake is a cofounder and managing director of MedPrep Pty Ltd, founder and managing director of Tutors SA (Donash Australia Pty Ltd) and STEM Centre Australia Pty Ltd training and education institutes. Don is an enthusiastic and energetic Educator, Research Scientist, a Research and Development Engineer, and an Entrepreneur possessing over 16 years of multi/interdisciplinary research and development expertise in Electrical and Electronic, Mathematics, Embedded Computer Systems, and Biomedical Engineering.

He has gained collective experience from various defence, commercial as well as academic organisations. Don is a successful academic who has completed his PhD in Electronic Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) with first class honours. In 2010, he received the prestigious Adelaide University Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Don has also co-authored a book on biomedical devices and has published over 22 journal articles and conference papers which he has presented internationally.

Don worked as a research scientist for more than 7.5 years at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group, formally known as DSTO); one of the leading government organisations in Australia. Further, he also contributed as the External Engagement Manager at Technology Partnerships Office at DST Group, and collaborated with academia and other industry partners. Currently, he is also contributing as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia and has worked as a lecturer and a course coordinator for a Masters level engineering course.

The University of Adelaide. He has supervised and mentored research associates, masters and undergraduate students from various engineering disciplines. He has a relentless passion and recognised ability to teach and extensive tutoring experience for more than 16 years for school years 5 – 12. Don has tutored and mentored more than 600 students to achieve successful outcomes in mathematics, physics and undergraduate engineering, computer science and mathematics subjects.

Het is a medical student at the University of Adelaide and achieved a UCAT score in the 99th percentile, alongside an outstanding ATAR of 99.35. He was also awarded the prestigious Principal’s Scholarship at the University of Adelaide. His personal success across UCAT, interviews and medical admissions gives students access to practical, high-level guidance from someone who understands the demands of the pathway.

Having received multiple medical and dental interview invitations from leading universities across Australia, Het has a strong understanding of how students can position themselves effectively across UCAT preparation, interview readiness and broader admissions strategy. His mentoring focuses on helping students develop speed, accuracy, confidence and decision-making under pressure.

At MedPrep, Het supports aspiring medical and dental students by teaching structured UCAT strategies, refining exam technique and helping students approach the admissions process with clarity and confidence. His combination of academic excellence, admissions experience and student-centred mentoring makes him a valuable senior member of the MedPrep team.

Dilan is currently studying the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Adelaide. With an outstanding ATAR of 99.6 and merits in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, he brings a strong academic foundation and a clear understanding of the standards expected of high-performing medical pathway students.

At MedPrep, Dilan’s teaching focuses on helping students develop structured approaches to UCAT-style reasoning, particularly under time pressure. He explains complex ideas clearly, supports students in building strong problem-solving habits and encourages a disciplined, strategic approach to preparation.

Dilan’s mentoring style is calm, supportive and performance-focused. He understands the pressure students face when preparing for competitive medical and dental pathways and helps them stay motivated, organised and confident throughout their UCAT preparation journey.

Shardul is a fifth-year medical student at the University of Adelaide. He achieved an ATAR of 99.2 and a UCAT score in the 95th percentile, giving him first-hand understanding of the academic and aptitude-based demands students face when applying for medicine and dentistry.

With over five years of tutoring experience, Shardul is skilled at breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical strategies. His UCAT teaching focuses on building genuine understanding, improving reasoning efficiency and helping students approach each section of the exam with structure and confidence.

Shardul’s approach is patient, strategic and highly student-focused. He helps students identify their individual strengths and areas for improvement, then supports them with targeted practice, active recall techniques and performance-oriented feedback. His goal is to help students feel prepared, capable and confident when facing the UCAT and the broader medical admissions process.

Asghar is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide, giving him direct insight into the competitive dental admissions journey and the level of preparation required to enter high-demand health programs.
At MedPrep, Asghar focuses on helping students strengthen their analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and confidence under pressure. His teaching style is structured, encouraging and adaptable, allowing students to develop the reasoning skills needed for UCAT-style questions while remaining motivated throughout the preparation process.
