Dr Don Dissanayake
Doctor of Philosophy (Electronic Engineering), The University of Adelaide; Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) with First Class Honours, The University of Adelaide
Dr Don Wenura Dissanayake is a cofounder and managing director of MedPrep Pty Ltd, founder and managing director of Tutors SA (Donash Australia Pty Ltd) and STEM Centre Australia Pty Ltd training and education institutes. Don is an enthusiastic and energetic Educator, Research Scientist, a Research and Development Engineer, and an Entrepreneur possessing over 16 years of multi/interdisciplinary research and development expertise in Electrical and Electronic, Mathematics, Embedded Computer Systems, and Biomedical Engineering.
He has gained collective experience from various defence, commercial as well as academic organisations. Don is a successful academic who has completed his PhD in Electronic Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) with first class honours. In 2010, he received the prestigious Adelaide University Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Don has also co-authored a book on biomedical devices and has published over 22 journal articles and conference papers which he has presented internationally.
Don worked as a research scientist for more than 7.5 years at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group, formally known as DSTO); one of the leading government organisations in Australia. Further, he also contributed as the External Engagement Manager at Technology Partnerships Office at DST Group, and collaborated with academia and other industry partners. Currently, he is also contributing as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia and has worked as a lecturer and a course coordinator for a Masters level engineering course.
He has supervised and mentored research associates, masters and undergraduate students from various engineering disciplines. He has a relentless passion and recognised ability to teach and extensive tutoring experience for more than 16 years for school years 5 – 12. Don has tutored and mentored more than 600 students to achieve successful outcomes in mathematics, physics and undergraduate engineering, computer science and mathematics subjects.

Esrom Leaman
Esrom is a doctor at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and the Operations Director at MedPrep. He graduated from the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery program at the University of Adelaide in 2021…
and is also undertaking a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics, Business Economics) at the University of Southern Queensland to further pursue his interest in health economics and mathematical modelling. He has spent thousands of hours tutoring over more than seven years and has helped students achieve outstanding results in a range of subjects. He has a particular interest in training students for the UCAT and Medical Interviews, and enjoys passing down both traditional and novel problem solving strategies and approaches to difficult interview questions.

Alessandra Wu
Alessandra is a UCAT tutor at MedPrep, and a 2nd year medical student at the University of Adelaide. She has tutored many students in a range of subjects since 2018, and has helped them…

She is particularly passionate about tutoring the UCAT, in order to support students in their UCAT preparation and pass on useful strategies and tips to help students maximise their performance.
Alessandra’s achievements include 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate (99.95 ATAR), 93 UCAT percentile, 2018 IB Dux of Pembroke School and recipient of the Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarship.

Halin Lee

She understands the various challenges posed by the test and admissions process, and believes in the benefits of continuous support for students.
Halin completed one year of the Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide before choosing to transfer into the MBBS, and achieved a 7.0 GPA. She scored in the 99th percentile for the UCAT.

Ella Obst
Ella is a sixth year medical student at the University of Adelaide. She has five years of tutoring experience with a particular interest in maths, biology, UCAT and chemistry tutoring for high school students.
In addition to her work as a high school tutor she has presented lectures and tutored other medical students as well as presenting original research at two research conferences in the last year. She has also organised peer teaching programs at university and participates in various sports and university committees and clubs.
